Elanco SAP Business Network® (formerly Ariba)
Elanco has streamlined our procurement and accounts payable processes to fulfill our vision of moving away from paper and manually transmitted documents. The transition to SAP Business Network accompanied the deployment of Elanco’s new SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform in 2021. Now that we have completed our transition to a single global SAP system, we will utilize a single set of tools that allows Elanco and our suppliers to engage more effectively. “Please note”: Legacy-BAH suppliers now operate in the same set of processes and tools as other EAH suppliers.
The unique benefits in utilizing the SAP Business Network include:
Efficiency--SAP Business Network's automated processes accelerate order processing and payment cycles. Postal processes, manual interventions, and invoices submitted by via postal/paper may take 5-15 days longer to process (from supplier mailing). Invoices submitted through the SAP Business Network are processed within 24 hours of receipt.
Transparency--Real-time visibility into order and invoice status improves planning and forecasting.
Accuracy--Automated data entry reduces errors, ensuring compliant, precise and reliable transactions.
Cost Savings--Digital processes reduce operational costs and promote sustainability.
While SAP Business Network is Elanco’s preferred method of transacting with suppliers, sending purchase orders and receiving invoices, suppliers in some countries may not be able to send invoices via the network due to government regulations or other local requirements.
